Emil Otto GmbH, a leading supplier of flux and surface technology, is introducing the flux concentrates EO-M-023 and EO-M-024. These versatile fluxes have been specifically developed for demanding tinning and soldering processes such as strip tinning and radiator manufacturing, and they set new standards in efficiency and quality.
Surface finishing of copper and brass strips
Both EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 have been developed for the continuous surface finishing of copper and brass strips and wires with pure tin, Sn/Pb and other Sn alloys. The main areas of application are in the field of strip tinning and radiator manufacturing. The fluxes differ in terms of their bromide content and do not contain any heavy metal compounds such as zinc or zinc ammonium chloride. They are also free from zinc, copper and iron ions. Both the EO-M-023 and the EO-M-024 consist of inorganic-organic halogen compounds. The fluxes are characterised by spontaneously and intensively dissolving oxides, while they gradually decompose at temperatures of around 230-280°C. Thanks to an adapted process, there is hardly any residue. EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 combine these properties, thus enabling intensive oxide dissolution with a low-residue process. This guarantees a clean and reliable surface finish.
EO-M-024
Flux for soldering and tinning processes, strip tinning and radiator construction
Flux concentrate for further dilution and mixing with water
Halide complex, bromide-containing, zinc-free, copper-free, iron-free (WEEE/RoHS compliant)

EO-M-023
Flux for soldering and tinning processes, strip tinning and radiator construction
Flux concentrate for further dilution and mixing with water
Halide complex, bromide-containing, zinc-free, copper-free, iron-free (WEEE/RoHS compliant)
Type: ISO-9454: 2124
Flux concentrates for soldering in strip tinning and radiator manufacturing
EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 are characterised by a high throughput rate and fast drying. ‘Both fluxes are fully mixable with water’, emphasises Markus Geßner, Head of Marketing and Sales at Emil Otto GmbH. The application dilutions are between 1:1 and 1:12 and can be adapted to the respective specific process requirements. Since EO-M-023 and EO-M-024 are characterised by outstanding wetting, material can be saved due to the low consumption.
The flux concentrates from Emil Otto are liquid concentrates and are particularly interesting for customers who require large quantities or manufacture abroad. The concentrates are brought to the correct mixing ratio on site by the customer. Therefore, the concentrate can be transported more cost-effectively as the concentrate is shipped in a reduced volume.
